T​wo days ago, I published a news article talking about the Impersonator Saga up to that point. I'm not here to repeat what I said there, you can go and read it yourself through the provided link I have given you.

(we also figured out that the impersonator would have had to be in our reddit group chat because of the fact that when u/Lifesucksatstuff showed us the photo of the chat that he had with the impersonator pretending to be u/TheNoobestt, the impersonator got mad at him for snitching.)

That said, a whole lot more has happened. 

​

It started earlier today (August 22, 2025). This was similar to what had previously happened. An account with the username u/The-Impersonator-469 (which had been created earlier that day) came to our subreddit, claiming they were the Impersonator. They were immediately permabanned, like usual.

But this time, they apologized. See, they sent a message to u/Lifesucksatstuff saying that they wanted to apologize. u/Lifesucksatstuff said that they needed to do this with their main account. They refused.

​

But they also told u/Lifesucksatstuff that they were u/GeographyExpert_1. See, at the time, none of us believed it because of the fact that, well, he was the impersonator. Impersonators impersonate people.

​

But then, maybe a few hours later, u/GeographyExpert_1 wrote in the very active discord group chat the words "I am The Impersonator.". Of course, everyone there believed it because of the fact that u/The-Impersonator-469 told u/Lifesucksatstuff that he was the impersonator.

Our 'Friend' u/GeographyExpert_1 went on to write the same message and delete it immediately 2 more times, before then writing the message "Okay you know what? Fine! I am the impersonator, there it's out there now, do you [sic] whatever you want, I don't care anymore" to the discord group chat.

 

u/Leiocera, having slight moderator abilities in the discord, gave u/GeographyExpert_1 a short 10 minute "Time Out" (they were muted for 10 minutes.), before actually asking the co-owners of the discord server (u/Lifesucksatstuff and u/ReviverOfTheReddit) to permaban him, which they did about an hour later.

u/GeographyExpert_1 also had his Moderator abilities taken away in r/RedditRevivers. He was then permabanned and given the user flair "Won't post here anymore".

​

u/Lifesucksatstuff has also announced that he will be taking a little break from reddit as the impersonator 'saga' has slightly damaged his mental health. u/Lifesucksatstuff has announced that he will be coming back after the break, though.

​

But did u/GeographyExpert_1 deserve the punishment they got? Yes, but for those of you who still think that it was a little harsh, they did some other stuff that they claimed were 'jokes', but after this little stunt of theirs, we have realized that they very obviously were not jokes.

​

​A few weeks ago, he created an alt account with the username "u/RedditMurderer"​, and said things on the subreddit such as "Jack is a Narcissist", "I am going to Murder r/JackSucksAtLife", and "Join my Subreddit, r/RedditMurderers.". Of course, these were all removed for breaking 'The Unspoken Rule' (our subreddit is for redditrevivers, not redditkillers.).​

They then privatized their subreddit, deleted their account, created a new account (which had the username u/BestReviverInTheWest), and asked to be a mod of our subreddit. We gave them very minimal, as their previous account had had the username "u/RedditMurderer".

At this point, I don't know why we gave them mod access, but whatever.

​

They were good for about a week, albeit with a few 'oopsies'. These were giving themselves the "Owner ✅" user flair (that was and still is reserved for u/CommunicationAny5823, who is the owner of this subeddit), and creating a "Reddit Killer" post flair (which, again, breaks 'The Unspoken Rule'.).

It all exploded the day u/BestReviverInTheWest marked every single post on the subreddit as NSFW. This really pissed me off, mostly because it took over 20 minutes of undo, but also because of the rules that they had broken in the past and how it showed that he had not changed at all. So I then removed their moderator access and permabanned them (and also their alt, u/BestReviverInTheEast).

Then he created a new subreddit, dubbed r/RedditDestroyers and declared war on us. They permabanned all of the mods of r/RedditRevivers from their subreddit (plus a few other members who decided to come and make fun of r/RedditDestroyers.).

​

Then, that subreddit was privatized and u/GeographyExpert_1 admitted that he was u/BestReviverInTheWest and apologized for it. He said that it was just an experiment to see how far he could take things.

But, as we have now found out, It was very much not a joke.

​

So, did he deserve the punishment he was given? F**k yeah.

​

And because of this, I owe all of you an apology. u/GeographyExpert_1, after he apologized for being u/BestReviverInTheWest (& his East counterpart), said "I understand if you take away my mod status for this." (or something like that). Also, u/ReviverOfTheReddit told me to permaban u/GeographyExpert_1 because he was u/BestReviverInTheWest. Me, being stupid and naïve, decided to not ban them because I believed that all of u/GeographyExpert_1's bullshit was a joke (and that i thought banning them might have been a little too harsh). This was a lapse in judgement and I am sorry.
