This Week's Most Important Story: The Impersonation Investigation

Recently in this subreddit, we have had an impostor who has been impersonating important members of this subreddit (so far, it has only been mods that they have impersonated but they will probably start impersonating users such as u/neon7000000 soon).
It started when the impersonator created a reddit account called u/lifesucksatstuff_. As you might have noticed, that is allowed because it has an underscore, thus it is different. u/lifesucksatstuff got really fed up with this because this guy started pretending he was u/lifesucksatstuff, and replying to to the real u/lifesucksatstuff saying things like "stop impersonating me" and "everyone report this guy, he is impersonating me". I'm sure we can all understand how this pissed u/lifesucksatstuff off.
Anyway, he thought this was annoying, so he permabanned the u/lifesucksatstuff_ account from r/redditrevivers (at first, i thought this was a little harsh, but it is a pain in the a** to be impersonated.). Later, for some reason or another, u/Lifesucksatstuff decided to check his email. He then made the shocking discovery that the account that was impersonating him had been made with his email. This was shocking because the only place where he had shared both his email and his reddit username at the same time was the r/RedditRevivers discord. Putting one & two together here, you can pretty obviously figure out that the impersonator was someone who was on our discord server. But who? More on that later.
Anyway, once he had realised that the impersonator used his email to create the u/lifesucksatstuff_ account, he enlisted u/spirited-direction84 to help him get a password reset, as he didn’t know how to log out of his account. If you don’t know, reddit has a password reset feature that lets you type in a username and then a password reset code is sent to your email. u/spirited-direction84 got the password reset email sent. Since the account was connected to his email, u/lifesucksatstuff got the password reset email, reset the password, and gave u/spirited-direction84 the password, asked him to go into the account, and delete it (he asked u/spirited-direction84 to do this because of the afforementioned fact that u/lifesucksatstuff did not know how to log out of his phone.). u/spirited-direction84 did this (reddit, that is allowed because it is stated in your rules that the person who owns the email associated with the account is the owner, and spirited-direction84 was following the owner’s commands..).
We thought that would be the end of it. But no, less than 2 hours later, the impersonator had created a new account. This time, it was impersonating u/Spirited-Direction84. The username that the person chose? u/SpiritedDirection84. This one was fairly shorter, and there is less to say about it. They were immediately permabanned by u/ReviverOfTheReddit (another mod), and then the impersonator decided to send ‘very nice’ messages to the mods, such as “YOUR A F***ING B***H” (censored for politeness), “I DID NOTHING WRONG”, “I CREATED THIS SUBREDDIT” (which is something that not even the real u/spirited-direction84 did), and “F***ING B***HES” (once again, censored for politeness.). It is obvious here that they were trying to make the mods think that they were the real u/spirited-direction84.
After those rude messages, the impersonator also deleted that account.
The impersonator waited a few hours before they created another account. This username for this account was u/ComunicationAny5823, a mispelling of u/CommunicationAny5823, which is who it was impersonating. They started by sending a modmail message titled “i’m privatizing redditrevivers”. This was, again, obviously an effort to make the mods think that they were the real u/CommunicationAny5823. Also, for those who don’t know, Privatizing a subreddit is essentially deleting it, so they essentially made a false threat to delete our subreddit. Anyway, once again, we permabanned them, and then they made a few more rude messages, and then they once again deleted their account.

What happened next was a little different to what previously happened.
A redditor with the username u/Top-Captain-4356 sent a message to u/Lifesucksatstuff claiming that they were u/TheNoobestt and that they were also the impersonator. A few of the mods believed it, but there were actually quite a few problems with u/Top-Captain-4356's story.
One was the fact that the u/Top-Captain-4356 account had been created the same day, which is a similarity that it had with all the other impersonator accounts. Another problem is, why would TheNoobestt be so eager to tell u/Lifesucksatstuff that he was the impersonator with one account but deny and deny and deny and deny with the other one? And also, if u/TheNoobestt wanted to tell the truth, why wouldn't he just say it with his main account? Also, the u/Top- Captain-4356 account was deleted about an hour after they 'revealed the truth'. u/TheNoobestt was likely being framed there.
After this they created a new account with the username u/JudgeUsual7629_, which was impersonating u/JudgeUsual7629 (which was funny because u/JudgeUsual7629 is my alt account and i found out about this new account when they replied to me, so there were a few seconds of me thinking "have i been hacked?"). Like the previous times, they were banned, so they proceeded to send rude messages, and then deleted their account.
This time though, they said "I will come back on a different account. This time, as someone else.", as if that wasn't expected, they aren't going to come back with the same username after they have deleted their account.

Which also leads us to the topic of ban evasion. See, when a user is banned from a certain community on reddit, it's not just the username that is banned. If the person who was banned uses another account to access the subreddit, that's called ban evasion, and that is highly not allowed. u/Lifesucksatstff is getting so mad at the impersonator that he is compiling a list of pictures to send to reddit customer service to get the impersonator IP banned for ban evasion, impersonation, and other things.
Remember what I mentioned earlier about how the impersonator is somone on the r/RedditRevivers discord server because that's the only place where u/Lifesucksatstuff shared his email address? Well, on August 20th, u/Leiocera said on our discord server that he was the impersonator. We found out that this wasn't true though after u/Leiocera told us that all that he was doing was impersonating the impersonator.
That's currently all the information we have. This story is definitely not over, but we will be continuing it next week when more has happened.
Now, let's move on to our next story!
EVEN MORE BREAKING NEWS: Jack skipped the group post?!
If you are unaware, a few Redditors (whose usernames are listed at the bottom of this website) took part in a collaborative post that was to be released at 6:00 pm British Summer Time on August 10th, 2025. This was also the same time that a different event called "The Raid" was happening, where Redditors of the community were supposed to flood r/JackSucksAtLife with good quality posts. Shockingly, the group post got 150+ upvotes in 9 hours. The anticipated moment was when the Weekly Reddit Video came out on JackSucksAtStuff, 9 days later. Sadly though, either Jack skipped the group post or Kai cut it out (did the power go to his head?). Multiple theories have risen about why this happened. Maybe it was because Jack scrolled past it because of the the cover which contained a ripped shirtless version of himself, or maybe Jack just doesn't like our subreddit, which would be sad. Whatever the case, u/AdStraight2941, the original poster, is going to repost the group post in a couple weeks' time with the original design for the cover (which contained Jack skydiving.). Will Jack skip it next time? I don't know, but hopefully he doesn't.
That's All, See You Next Week!
